Our Background

Mwaani Girls’ High School was established in 1969. The school is AIC sponsored. The ultimate goal of the School (MGHS) is to empower the girl-child in a setting that aims to promote independence, self-reliance and confidence. The school is a high-achieving institution situated in Makueni County. It is highly regarded for its achievements in both academics and extracurricular activities.

We emphasize holistic education, putting intentional frameworks in place to foster the learner's intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical growth. Girls are urged to develop their critical thinking, invention and decision-making skills. The learning activities are designed to highlight the knowledge and abilities that young people need to deal with the dynamics and challenges of a world that is changing quickly. Students from all around Kenya and beyond are drawn to the multicultural setting, which fosters tolerance and social understanding as well as an awareness of the beauty inherent in difference.
